An Iraqi attorney holding a Master's degree in Public and International Criminal Law; an entrepreneur and advisor in legal and business affairs, with professional experience across advocacy, legal consulting, business, and enterprise development.
Attorney Suhaib Yousif Al-Obaidi is an Iraqi lawyer who graduated from the College of Law at Tikrit University in 2016–2017 and joined the Iraqi Bar Association in 2017 at the unrestricted grade. In 2022 he earned a Master's degree in Public and International Criminal Law, defending a thesis titled "The Legislative and Criminal Response to Money-Laundering Offenses Committed Through Electronic Means."
He works to develop a modern model of legal practice that unites legal knowledge, practical experience, and an advanced understanding of the business and entrepreneurship environment.
Attorney Suhaib Yousif Al-Obaidi began his professional career in advocacy after joining the Iraqi Bar Association in 2017. He worked across a number of areas of legal practice, gaining diverse experience in handling files, cases, and legal consultations before various institutions and authorities inside and outside Iraq.
In 2021 he founded "Sunaa Al-Furas for Law" (Opportunity Makers) — an experience that marked a pivotal stage in shaping his own vision of modern legal practice, linking legal work to the concept of creating opportunities and delivering integrated, practical solutions.
In 2026 he carried this vision into a more comprehensive stage by founding "Al-Furas Group for Law & Business" — an extension and evolution of the idea of uniting law with business and entrepreneurship within an integrated professional system, of which he is the originator, founder, and General Manager.
Attorney Suhaib Yousif Al-Obaidi views law as an integrated system that goes beyond traditional courtroom practice to encompass protecting businesses, reducing legal risk, supporting decisions, and creating opportunities.
From this standpoint, he focuses on building a long-term professional relationship with the client that begins at the planning and establishment stage, extends to the legal management of contracts, partnerships, and obligations, and reaches expansion, investment, and the resolution of disputes when they arise.
He is equally invested in entrepreneurship and enterprise development, seeking to put legal knowledge to work in helping founders and business owners make more informed, secure, and sustainable decisions.
Right from the first move
He devotes particular attention to research in contemporary legal fields, especially financial and economic crimes and technology-related offenses. Among his notable works is his 2022 Master's thesis, "The Legislative and Criminal Response to Money-Laundering Offenses Committed Through Electronic Means."
He is committed to participating in legal and professional training courses and programs, keeping pace with legislative and judicial developments, and developing his expertise in business, management, and entrepreneurship, in line with his vision of modern legal practice.
Arabic is his native language, in addition to English at a professional level.
A member of the Iraqi Bar Association since 2017 at the unrestricted grade, and holder of a Master's degree in Public and International Criminal Law (2022).
